"Several years ago, I was attending a different exercise class. I thought I was doing everything right.
I was in disbelief when I had to go to a physical therapist for a knee issue, he said I needed to strengthen my thigh muscles. I almost laughed and I did say I exercised all the time. Well, as you know, I started your class soon after and I have since found out that the previous instructor did not watch our form of doing the exercises correctly.
Now, my body is much better shape, in strength, for doing tasks since I live in a house that has lots of stairs, both outside and inside. I have also fallen off 5 foot ledges gardening and not been hurt due to strong bones from exercise. Also I can do way more exercise reps then before. when I started doing this type of exercise vs running, I could only do 3 regular push ups. Now I can do many push-ups."

" I am measuring four key areas (thighs, hips, waist, and chest) to help me keep track of measurable results. I have lost 2.5 inches around my chest, .5 inch around my waist and hips. I have increased .5 inch in thigh measurement (increased muscle mass).

"I believe I'm healthy, stronger, and have stamina today for the contribution IGI FItness/Rachel. I'm being challenged on a regular basis. Rachel has provided a safe environment to work in. Rachel is supportive and encourages you during the workouts making sure you're doing them safely and correctly. Even in the class setting she's watching each person and coming over to give you technique and even to push you harder because she believes you're capable of going to the next level....like heavier weights, bands, etc. Then using heavier weights/bands then you're surprised when you can use the heavier items whereas you didn't think you could.

I was shocked that I was able to do this and he was admiring my strength and stamina. I also found I've missed working out with others when you're alone. First I’ve lost weight and managed to keep it off. Second I’m stronger and have better endurance when engaging in physical activity. Also, through conversations with Rachel, I’ve worked through negativity about body image, I’ve gained a better understanding of just how important mental health and wellness is, and I’ve gained a better understanding of the areas I struggle in and gained tools to help start addressing them. Additional info for #1. I lost six pounds over six weeks of works and have managed to keep it off over the holiday season. As far as reps and weights are concerned I now that I did more reps at the end than I did at the beginning and I was user heavier weights as well. I can’t recall specific numbers so I apologize there.
It’s amazing how when you focus on the truths about who you are as a person and what you are created to be its amazing how that affects your outlook on life as a whole. I started attending classes to lose weight and be more fit but I’ve become a much more positive person over all as well.
The members and Rachel are very warm and welcoming. Rachel is fierce and full of energy for her work and you can tell she loves what she does. She is a coach who knows how to modify an exercise when she sees you struggling but she is not afraid to challenge you if she thinks you can push harder or lift heavier weights or do an extra rep.
I truly appreciate iGi for being a place I can go and not have to worry about judgment, its full of normal people all trying to be healthier."
